Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Hanapiah M. Yusoff (Advisor)

Summary:

Mohd Hanapiah Mohd Yusoff received a B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Physics from the University of Liverpool, England, in 1983. He received his M.Sc. (Distinction) in Microwave Solid State Physics from the University of Portsmouth, England, in 1994 and he obtained his Ph.D. degree in the field of optical communications from the School of Physics, Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2010. His research interest is in the investigation of lightwave propagation in planar photonic devices with emphasis on photonic bandgap structures and slotted silica waveguide structures. He is also currently involved in the investigation and analysis of tropical disease symptoms using diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. He is currently an associate professor with Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia. His previous working experiences include teaching at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, and as a geophysical engineer with Schlumberger Overseas S.A.
