About
The Photonics and Materials Research Group at UiTM is dedicated to harnessing the power of light across various applications, including optical devices, computing, and sensing. Our research spans a broad spectrum of photonic areas, encompassing multi-frequency lasers, optical waveguides, sensors, and the nonlinear interaction of light with matter, explored from both quantum and classical perspectives. The group is actively involved in theoretical investigations using First Principle Study techniques, particularly focusing on amorphous materials. In addition to theoretical work, our experimental endeavors include studying active-doped glasses and transparent polymers for passive/active waveguides. We are also exploring the integration of nanofiber structures in certain optical devices, contributing to advancements in photonics research.
